<p>Yep, I got in.</p>
<p>Now I have to figure out how I'm going to pay for out of state tuition... I know a lot of public schools give merit aid to people with a certain class rank or ACT score, but I can't find anything regarding that at Wisconsin. I got a 34ACT Composite and am in the top 9%, anybody got any info?</p>

<p>except for minorities there is not a ton of merit aid at UW. Your local UW Alum group might give some--ours does.</p>
<p>I applied on October 15th and I heard back on either October 29th or November 1st, don't remember.</p>
<p>So is it a bad sign if it is taking quite a bit longer to hear back? Application sent in mid-Sept., complete (transcript, etc.) by Oct. 7, but no word yet ....</p>
<p>jrpar--- I am experiencing the same thing... I got my application in and the website says it was completed october 5. However, one of my friends applied after i did and he got a response within 2 weeks. I don't know why that is, but I am hoping to get a letter in the next week. What are your stats?</p>

<p>1290 SAT, 28 ACT, 3.55 GPA, at top 50 public school...out of state... i am expecting an answer this week, and have been having night mares of a rejection letter... with a score of 1460, you'll get in. I'm scared for myself though...can't wait to get an answer,, good luck to you</p>

<p>Hoo_29...congratulations on admission,....I visited last year in march, and i fell in love with it. It's just amazing, perfect mix or urban and campus feel, great city, close to family, and cool kids..just a great college experience. How did you like the campus?</p>
<p>I heard that the reason why some kids heard really quickly is because they check people's applications who scored higher than 1300 first...just a little info for ya'll</p>

<p>I haven't heard from them either... Applied earliest as possible, they must've received all my matherial at least a month ago. I really wanted to go caz I chose Biochem as my major, but now I'm not so sure because everybody keeps saying you can't have a social life at WI if you don't drink..</p>
<p>Also international. Thought they liked internationals with $$$ - not that I have that much $$$ anyway, but still.</p>
