Awesome link Tiffany!

Thanks! :)

Awesome link Tiffany!

Thanks! :)

So you could theoretically get stuck in a 1 room 2 person apartment even though you wanted to be in a 3 bedroom 1 room per person apartment?

^
Yep, theoretically. :/

and no problem about the link! I’m watching the video cast for my course now, haha.

Haha, cool. I think I’m going to go sit in on a Shakespeare class on Thursday. I’m so nervous!

So if your in a suite or RH dorm, they clean your apartment once a week? Is there laundry service also?

^
Oh my gosh, roflmao, don’t you just keep on going with those wonderful questions? (I’m kidding of course!) Nooooo. You get to do that ALL by yourself of course. They accept only bruincards for the washers/dryers. If you’re in the dorms, they will, once a week.

Edit: To be very honest, I have not used the washers/dryers here once, I guess I am a little bit more OCD than I thought. -.- I go home every two-three weeks and I wash there!

5/23 - Monday

I’ll be taking the 10:15 tour. So lets meet up after.

^
L-O-L. I’m not sure how long those tours take…but I’m working from 10-2, and then I have my GRE prep class in Westwood from 2:30-5:00. Sorry! Maybe in the school year?! :)

Edit: I have to go meet a friend in Westwood, have dinner, talk for a long time…by the time I come back, it’ll be 10 probably, lol…then I’ll stay up to study for my midterm. If I come back I’ll continue answering questions, if not I’ll answer them tomorrow!

i feel like this whole thread is a one one between u and me. So another meaningless question, does the school have transit buses or give you a bus pass to get around?

if you live in one of the university apartments…you can still get a meal plan right?

i was trying to find out how much meal plans are if you aren’t living in the dorms, but i cant seem to find prices…hopefully they’re not too much…

Why do you all ask me questions when I’m about to leave?!

To uclakid: Yes you can but it would be for commuters, check the housing details, or google ‘ucla meal plans’.

To jg2290:
LOL, you and the rest of the people asking questions probably feel that way, lol. Next year to get on the big blue bus/culver city bus will cost 50 cents and to swipe your bruincard. You don’t need a bus pass. If you want a discount for the metro, you need to fill out an application and then you get some card, that’s too complicated so I stick with the bbb!

Okay, I’m gonna go everyone! Be back later/tomorrow!

Also if I wanted to take a recreational PE course at my CC during the summer how do I go about reporting it to UCLA

Thanks RheeL3 but do you think I should submit my SIR now even though they haven’t updated me with an email regarding taking Philosophy with pass/no pass? I sent my transcript to them today even though I have not submitted my SIR yet but I am reallyyyy hoping they will still accept me as long as I take another Philosophy over summer. Also, when UCLA says to maintain good standing, are they referring to just Spring2011 semester or your overall gpa from when you starting going to community college? Thanks alot!

So I am back to answering questions for a bit, while I procastinate studying and wait for my shows to my uploaded online. (I have work at 6:30…:/)

Anywho…I just came back from having dinner and hanging out with a friend, she lives on Landfair and we were talking about the apartment situation, and she told me that if I could pick anywhere to live, to pick Westwood Chateau Apartments because all the others suck, LOL. Apparently they’re the best, and I don’t blame her, they come fully furnished among other things. Here are pictures: [University Apartments for Single Transfer Students (1001723)](http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1001723)

To LostCollegeBound: Email UCLA admissions, although I don’t think they would mind…o__O;;

To xdunks: Just in case, wait a bit…it shouldn’t be that long until they update you on your status. Oh and your second question, it’s for your Spring Semester, don’t let it drop below a 3.0!

Tiff, are those apartments cheaper than the dorms? what are the downfalls of living there?

^
I’m not sure if they’re cheaper, my friend pays $750 a month, but she doesn’t have to pay utilities or anything of the sort, she does have to pay for her groceries though (obviously). I was going to say, FA doesn’t give you as much $$ if you pick university apartments but then I realize that you’re not getting FA in the first place! Maybe a downfall would be not being super close to campus, no dining halls, and maybe the noise…? You don’t have RAs or anything of the sort, so really anything goes, lol.

alright thanks. i guess I’ll stick with the dorms cause i dont want to be all by myself.
Oh god don’t remind me. You are so fortunate to have been born in the U.S.

^
I suppose I am! You aren’t by yourself in the apartments silly! They’re cheaper if you have other people with you, lol. I assume they pair you up with another transfer, but if you’re okay in the dorms, then that’s cool too!

Tiffany, you’re so helpful! I wonder if we will ever meet at school hahah.

^
I honestly doubt it! I remember meeting fellow transfers during BruinBash and different events during Week 0 and I’ve never seen them since. I’m really all over the place from North to South campus (ironically rarely in central campus) but who knows…^^

Edit: I’m tired…so I’m going to bed for two hours and then finish studying for my midterm. Good night everyone!
