UCSD has full ride for engineering major, only 50 will be invited, usually about 10 accepted. They are Ivy candidates. I think it’s called Jacobson scholarship.
Wait, the OP said they live in TX, where did Colorado come from?
If $54k per year is too much, OP should forget about going OOS at California’s public universities. For private, she may consider USC as your D is likely an NMF.
I think @mom2collegekids pulled out the wrong info regarding OP’s D.
Below is what I found from OP in another thread:
So she is not from Colorado.
UT Austin is a fine school for CS. Is it really so difficult to get into the CS major there with a top 1% rank and the posted test scores?
^ I agree. I see little reason to go to an OOS public school while UT Austin is available at a much lower cost unless OP’s D really want to leave Texas or she has a dream school that is affordable.
@mom2collegekids thanks for your answer!
I took the ACT after graduation…
where can I find out if a school takes ACT scores AFTER graduation into consideration for a merit scholarship?
I read a few policies for merit scholarships and I couldn’t find information stated about the test dates of the ACT/SAT.
Call the school to ask.
@Madison85
Yes. I did that this year.
