Yes. When did you apply and what was your SAT? Or; you didn't take it because of the ACT?

I applied on the last day...Jan. 15... a little last minute. I took SAT IIs but didn't send them because my ACT was stronger. Thanks for the response....=)

There probably are greater schools but I kept in mind during my college search that I wanted to get as far away as possible from where I am now.

Ucali- ur in...with those stats it would take til the end of march to reject you

"I would agree with one proposition; For undergraduate work the UW is really no better than Western; Seattle Pacific; PLU; and Gonzaga. However, location, location, location is a big deal with a lot of young people." <--- I agree

yay yay I just got my acceptance letter today =) Good luck to all those who are still waiting to hear, I'm sure you'll end up somewhere great in the fall!!

:) Congrats UCali! Where is UW on your college list?

Thanks!! It's one of my top choices...I have to wait and see where else I get accepted but Washington is definitly up there on my list =)

Since I'm out of state tuition is a little bit higher...does anyone know some good ways to help pay the higher fee? Or what kind of fin aid Washington tends to offer? I should recieve some need-based, but I'm just wondering what else I can do...

I think it's pretty hard to get fin aid to help u when u have to pay outta state tuition...why leave caliiiii...i would do anything to switch places

haha well i might stay in cali...but I just love seattle and lots of people here love the school so I started thinking about it. I think I can get some fin. aid....It is always fun to explore a new place! :)

I guess it's. But if you decide to come...enjoy every last minute of the sunshine and bring ur umbrella

LoL.. i totally agree w/ you UCaliGirl9 about exploring new places. that's why i really want to go to boston. but that's cool that you love seattle. good luck w/ wherever you decide to go!

Hey! They notified me by email - I love it (in :D)! I think all unis should tell international applicants via email! Normal mails are soooo slow...

Should I expect a decision by atleast March 1? I am planning a college visit trip at the end of march to San Francisco State, Oregon State, Portland State, and as of now, Washington State University, but if I get into University of washington (which I probably wont), I would visit taht instead. But right now I am planning my trip as if I am not getting into UW

late march

I wonder why the notification process now takes so long. In the Princeton Review post I referenced elsewhere the notification period was about 1 month (1999). Now, it is 2-4 months. Maybe they are just hoping some students will just go away and they won't have to deal with them?

or maybe its because they have received an increase in applications since 1999 and it takes a longer time to process more applications

So how do they go about reviewing applications. Automatic Admits are already done so are they going through the 69 AI's and then 68's ect.? Or is it totally random?
