cool dude, good luck at wherever you choose to attend!

My admission status was changed today sort-of? Actually, it just said I went through an initial review or something and that they needed some more of my information (which they already have in their database) for me.

.. I wonder what that means....

did it change from preliminary review or initial...and what does it say exactly

Your application for admission as a Freshman student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2005 was entered in our data base on November 4, 2004.

The status of your application was last updated on January 21, 2005.

After giving your application an initial review, we have determined that one or more documents (see below), supporting materials, or additional information are required before further reviewing your application. All required materials must be postmarked by the application closing date for autumn quarter 2005.

Autumn quarter 2005 admission applications and supporting documents that are submitted by January 15th (postmark dates are honored) usually receive an initial review within six - eight weeks after the Admissions Office receives all required documents. Applications received on or just prior to the deadline will take longer to process. All applicants are notified prior to May 1. Autumn quarter 2005 begins September 28, 2005.

hmm...you know what was missing?

Yeah, it was one of my transcripts from a college class I had taken. I didn't know from reading the website, but upon checking my email, there was a message saying "Please send your transcripts from ______ _____ Community College and University of Nevada, Reno."

:) Sorry for the double post.

I'm kind of happy I got my application reviewed. I'm not sure exactly what it means since I think it's just that they want my stuff... but I feel like any response from them is good! (You guys DID say that they typically don't start rejecting until mid-February so...!)

could u post ur stats again...too lazy to go back =)

It just changed to that today. What exactly does that mean?

looks like ur in...stats?

1300 (730V, 570M)
3.97 UW GPA
Good EC's (EIC of Newspaper, Founder/President of Young Progressives, NHS)
Good essays
Idaho resident

You could've written an essay on carmen electra's tits and you would ve gotten in (being totally serious)

Now that you mention them, how about Carmen Electra's jumblies? TOP NOTCH!

Now you're making me wish I had written about them, LOL.

haha...good stuff

Me?

SAT: 1160 (1190 combined)
GPA: 3.4 unweighed
APs: Eng Lit, Eng Comp, Government, Calculus

My chances don't seem all that great (especially my GPA, but the reason why it's so low is because I didn't have a junior year to balance off a C that I got the first quarter of my freshman year), but my essays were pretty good and I think that they were more memorable than most. Not to mention, I was a foreign exchange student to Japan, a speech and debate team member and an active volunteer at political rallies and convalescent homes.

Not to mention, I fill EVERY single one of the extra criterion that UW had on it's website except for the art thing! :)

dream- keep us updated on ur status (UW netid)...good luck

d still waiting for that magic message; "application reviewed". "Decision pending" since Jan. 5.) In state; 3.55/1240

mm- highly likeley that she'll get in. The 3.55 is just gonna go through a stop sign (admission officers) and that takes a while since they got literally thousands of applications going through stop signs. Her car is in the front though =)

mmboys, I am in pretty much the same boat as your d, 3.56 and 1250 SAT and decision pending since the 3rd. So keep us updated on her status, allthough it seems as if it could very well take a month or more since we are both in the same pool.

Someone I know was rejected this past weekend.
Stats were something like 3.0GPA, 1280 SAT, out of state.
The thing is that he went from awaiting prelim review to reviewed already. So I guess there might be an auto-reject AI.
