And thanks a lot!

well that was a direct response to a direct question? lol generally when you talk to people by name you’re referring to them? Check the previous page to see your post. :)

What % chance do you guys think i have?

GPA- 3.83W (26%ile), 2 APs, 4 preAPs, APlang- 5
SAT- 2190 (760CR, 690M, 740W) 750 SATII lit(don’t know if that matters)
ECs- 2 sports for 4 years, 2 year letter, part time job for a year, other insignificant stuff like NHS etc.

I did not do the C essay and I want to major in geoscience or natural science

Do I stand a chance?

bump please

Are you instate or OOS? What major did you apply to?

Your rank is low but your scores are high. Can’t say for sure - It will depend on how many spots are taken by top 10ers.

I applied to geoscience major, and I’m instate… you think I’ve got a 30% chance or what

Anyone else heard back yet? I still haven’t :{

I’m not sure if this counts, but I come from a school in Texas that does not rank its students. So we’re kind of in the same situation as students who are not in the top 10%.

I turned everything in on October 1 and got my decision on December 10.

I’m pretty sure the counselors are required to tell UT if you are in the top 10% if you are from a non-ranking school and then they just send the school profile - so it easy enough to see where peoples GPA falls… at least that is what our counselors told us. Only top 10% kids have gotten in at my daughter’s school - that is people who have above a 4.0 for their class.

Hey, I know that business, engineering, and architecture are especially competitive for undergraduate admissions. My question is this: is admission into the communications school (specifically journalism) THAT much harder than the college of liberal arts for a non-10% (30/260) texas resident such as myself? My stats were 2100 SAT, 31 ACT, 3.6 GPA and and I go to Dallas Jesuit, a rather competitive private school in dallas.

With these numbers, I’m not even sure about admission into the college of liberal arts haha. But journalism is my passion. Considering that, does anybody know anything about transferring into communications if i were to get accepted into liberal arts?

I know some of the rules have changed, but my daughter got into Liberal Arts in 2008. She was top 12 percent at a competitive high school. And she didn’t get admitted until the beginning of March.

bump

10char

we will know by late march early april … so just hold tight
