Congratulations, JEP! To what college/school were you admitted?

Congratulations!!! Hook 'Em Baby!

Did you apply for the spring semester or something? I really don't know how the admissions system works and what semesters you were able to apply for, but if it's spring semester, then I'm nervous :P

Thanks to all. I applied to the Liberal Arts College (major in Government or Economics). And Itokazu, I applied to the fall semester, but I applied really early so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Ah! Wow, I didn't realize you could apply this early for Fall '09. Congrats though!

Great news, Juan E.P. Congratulations!

Top 10% student applied early August, admitted early October.
Took two months for them to process everything.

I would think this is the least busy time for the admissions people - I predict the processing time for top ten percenters will be longer as the year progresses.

Did you apply for on-campus housing?

congrats...i'm applying within a couple days now that my school has finally updated transcripts...I'm still top 10% but hoepfully i can get into engineering/natural science

MWM, I did apply for on-campus housing, but I applied early because I really wanted to get a room in San Jacinto or Duren when I did get in. But I now realize that I won't actually get to choose until I decide to attend, which I'm not sure I want to decide just yet seeing as how I'm still applying to more selective colleges...

JEP, what other schools are you applying to?

hey juan...did you write option C essay for your application? some people i know said the 3rd essay is optional but you are guaranteed not to get in if you don't write it...i was like wth?

Congratulations! I got in as well! (My dad was browsing the forums and insisted I chime in ... ha.) I expected it since I was in the top 10%, but I was pleased to have been accepted to my first choice major, Radio-Television-Film in the College of Communications. I've toured their media building a bunch of times, and I'm really impressed by their facilities and technology. Plus, I'm excited because Austin is the growing new indie film scene!

Austin is a great city. From what I've heard, it's growing tech city as well. Lots of opportunities for those who go to UT-Austin.

Congrats on getting into RTF. The kids who are in it seem to LOVE it.

(directed at JHB) other than UT, I'm applying to Georgetown and possibly Harvard, but honestly, I'm going up to visit UT this monday and if I am really as taken by it as I was when I visited last year, I might just shelf my other applications and attend UT in the class of 2013.

(directed at I Hope UT) I actually didn't submit essay C, because (correct me if I'm wrong) it is for those applying to business or engineering. Since I'm applying Liberal Arts, I didn't really need to submit one.

Thanks to everyone for being welcoming longhorns.

Hook 'em baby!

Daughter just got accepted today to the College of Communications - Advertising. Yay!

Just got into my first choice major-business. Thank the heavens-I'm actually going to college!

Congratulations to both of you! Hook 'Em!

That's awesome! When did y'all apply, specially you deenz?

August 2nd
