^^given that Ithaca re-instituted ED for this year’s admissions cycle, it’s possible that Park admissions will be more competitive than ever for RD (and longer to get)…the earliest admits for rolling are the “easy ins” and candidates for the Park Scholar program…

D auditioned on 12/12 and has heard (it’s a yes!). Good luck eastave!

My son just got his acceptance today, one month after applying, and some unsolicited merit scholarship money. We’re from the SE, so that helps in terms of regional diversity. SAT 1370, 3.3UW in very rigorous private school, sports and EC’s, great rec’s. Plus we visited twice and he met the head of the Journalism program who took a liking to him. It’s in his top 4, but getting this answer before all the others may move it up.

Looking to talk to others from the SE who are considering Ithaca.

Sent in my app on 17 December and just got my acceptance today (Park, journalism). :)

I got accepted yesterday to the School of Humanities and Science (for Psychology) and was offered a scholarship

GPA: 3.4 unweighted
ACT: 29
SAT: didn’t send

For those who have heard and got accepted…do you get a real letter in the mail or do you see the update on MyItahaca website?? Which happens first?

You get the real letter first; I recieved my acceptance to the Park School this Monday (and am enrolling! So excited!), by my myIthaca account doesn’t say anything.

Got accepted a couple of weeks ago for exploratory =]

A couple days after getting accepted by mail (the coolest one of all colleges), your MyIthaca account will show you accepted. They want you to find out through the mail first. If you get accepted, you will know why. On another note, I am an alum (as is wife) and I took the tour yesterday with my daughter (she also spent the night there) and was incredibly impressed. The tour guide was wonderful, both knowledgeable and funny. He took the time to answer tons of questions and made Ithaca College out to be the next Harvard. I mean that in a good sense as he had so much pride in the college.

Accepted today park school of communications.
3.89 uw / 4.38 w
29 ACT

Still haven’t heard yet and I applied back in October. Sending my mid-term grades, but did anybody out there hear yet who applied to OT???

accepted today, school of humanities and sciences for chemistry

I got accepted with a 15k President’s Scholarship on Jan. 25 to the Roy H. Park School of Communication.

yes i was accepted into IC’s OT program i think btwn the last wk of January and the first week of February. Check the myIthaca and check if you are missing anything, such as SAT scores etc. Call the Admissions office as well.

Thanks for the info…all the paperwork is in, including mid-term grades…admissions said keep checking myithaca…do you know anyone else still waiting? Are you going to enroll? What other schools are you considering for O/T? Waiting is horrible…

CherryCherry - BTW, would you mind sharing your gpa/sat range? I called admissions again and they said 3-4 weeks (RIDICULOUS)
thanks sooo much

i just got my letter today! i got accepted for theatre arts management with a scholarship! does anyone know how many people get the John B. Harcourt Scholarship?
congrats everyone!

S was accepted for Theater Arts - (BA- Acting) in school of Humanities and Sciences. He received a Harcourt scholarship of $7500. Are other scholarships available through the School of Humanities?

rualu1- sorry for not getting back to you quickly.
right now im deciding btwn quinnipiac’s OT program and ithaca’s OT program
and SUNY Stony Brook’s OT program…but mostly quinnipiac and ithaca though
because their programs are impressive.
my SAT and GPA aren’t that high actually, SAT: 1300/1600 and GPA: 3.6something.
What you can do is if you really really want to get into Ithaca or any school for that matter, you can send them a letter. I’m not sure to who-maybe Office of Admissions most probably. And in the letter you can express your desires to attend Ithaca and
why and if you were accepted you would do…etc.
My cousin got into Villanova that way. Hope this helps.

CherryCherryBoom - Thanks so much for the info. I’m in at Quinnipiac too and my stats are similar. Yes, I did email them and restated my interest, gave an update, etc…so guess I’ll have to just wait. I also liked Quinnipiac but didn’t like how the new health sciences building, where you go for years 3-5, was in N. Haven, lacked that college “environment,” even though the building itself was impressive. Would have to “commute” from another campus or apartment. What did you think about that?
