Hello,

I just wanted to know how many of us internationals are applying for aid and admission to Duke for undergrad?
One is me,of course.

well iam also applying
2 more from my school are applying too (with aid)

i'm applying (not for aid, though)

i am applying for aid and admission. another student from my school is applying as well. we are both applying to Pratt.

yeah i am. and about 3 ppl i know are.

I applied to Duke (RD) Fall 2008. My cousins live in Greensboro, NC so I hope I get into Duke!

Yupp, I'm applying to Duke too :P with fin. aid.

Still we are so less i believe. More than 6 from my school of Nepal r applying too and also for aid.
Best of luck everyone.

ED with aid. deferred

took me a day or two to get over my misery

shingge,,,,,, are u an international?
i doubt so
because in duke there's no ED for intls who are applying for aid

^purushottam, seriously? dang... didn't know that, and that just messes up my plans, since I'm int'l and need fin aid

wait duke doesn't allow international with aid? really? maybe that's why i'm deferred...omg there is hope....wait there isn't haha

thou, i'm a weird case of international.
i been in the US since elementary school, i'm in the final stages of getting a green card. called adjustment of status.

but emailed duke and the admission counselor didn't tell me i couldn't apply .

but purushottam, that's an interesting question. I also assumed adjustment of status people would be classified as permanent resident until duke emailed me saying i'm international.

my counselor called after my deferral and talked with teh admission, and the admission didn't tell her i can't apply ED. they just told her that internatinoal pool is competitive.
