has anyone been accepted to brown with an SAT score of 1920?

Probably only recruited athletes. Or people with amazing, and I mean AMAZING, personal stories or backgrounds – like you went to school in a refugee camp or something. And maybe Emma Watson.

lol just kidding about Hermione. I’m sure the cleverest witch in her year had stats that were just fine. And if not, Brown made the right decision.

If your enrollment will bump up applications to 30k then I bet you’ll get in.

Sorry, the stress is getting to me, just remember – the Ivy League is a reach for everyone, as I’m about to find out.

Haha if James Franco can squeeze himself into Yale I feel like anyone here has a pretty good shot.

tealtopaz, why don’t I belong here? haha

This thread is called “Anyone else out there who is more likely to fly tomorrow than get an acceptance?”

You’re more likely to get an acceptance. This chat is for the people, like me, who are more likely to become batboys or quidditch stars than brown acceptees.

Ok I’m sorry… I’ll leave.

@tealtopaz: it is very likely for you to become a quidditch star! They have collegiate quidditch games now!

No!! You can stay if you want. We are a pretty welcoming group here, us quidditch players. Just know that you can’t be in the group unless you started running through the admissions office in your underwear or something screaming “PICKKK ME!!! YOU WANT ME!!!”.

True, true spiritualwitch. My HS is starting a muggle quidditch league too. I meant flying-magical-Hogwarts-esque quiditch star though.

It’s refreshing to see everyone being so humble and gracious! Most of you have incredible stats – so much better than mine. But hopefully the college gods will be smiling on all of us this afternoon. Good luck everyone!

bitingmynails

I do not think they will have 100% acceptance rate.

^ tht was not necessary =(

TIP FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GET IN:

VISUALIZE. Imagine in your mind: you going to Brown, walking down Thayer St, in class (I don’t know what this would look like specific to Brown, just tell yourself it’s a Brown classroom). And then list the reasons why you deserve to go to Brown and why that’s going to get you in. Don’t say why you want to get in, but why you deserve to.

OK that’s all probably a bunch bull ****. The next piece of advice given to me was to make a poster to help you visualize, but I didn’t take my visualizing that far.

Anyways, the way I’m looking at it is that nothing so far in my life will make me as materialistically happy as getting into Brown tonight could; however, if I don’t get in, I’m going to go to a less-renown school for a year and A) I will be unhappy after a year, but do well and easily transfer to Brown or B) I’ll make great friends, meet great teachers, and have a great experience at whatever non-Brown school I end up at, so it won’t matter whether I get in to Brown tonight or not.

@JROSE123 - My interviewer said she got in with a 900 on the SAT, so you never know. If your grades are good enough, I don’t think it’ll matter too much…

@JROSE123

I’ve seen a few people on this forum with SAT scores of 1800s, 1900’s, even 1700’s, and they’ve gotten into Brown.

2260 SAT 34 ACT 92 uw gpa 95 w gpa some ok ECs but I know I have no chance. Brown was my first choice for so long, but whatever if I don’t get into brown I will be OK. I’m sure I’ll be happy at Washu.

1920 SAT

3.6/4.0 GPA (as of now)

I’m not getting accepted.

25 more minutes!

can people who were told 6:00 check at 5 or would it just block you?
