<p>waiting on my financial aid info. to come.. they said they sent it yesterday, i am reallll worried. basically, my parents make enough money that NYU won't give me much financial aid, but we still can't "afford" to pay 50 grand a year for this school. i am hoping i am proved wrong, or that someone out there is lookin' out for me and i magically get a decent amount of money. i am in lsp, so i doubt they give scholarships to lsp students..</p>
<p>My dd got into Tisch. The cost of NYU is pretty much what we make a year plus we have two cronically ill kids so at least minimum $10,000 per year in medical expenses that aren't covered. We did get our Financial aid estimate and only got approx $10,000 in grants. So, the difference is about $45,000.....hopefully we can get more scholarships in the next 6 months or so...</p>

<p>im thinking sometime in february for most people. i sent in my notification letter the day after i got accepted so i expect that they give me some basic information by january.</p>
<p>Oh, you have no idea how worried I am. The only thing worse than being rejected would be being accepted and not being able to afford it. I'm working like no other at scholarships and such, and all in all, I need to find about 40K, which is no easy feat. I've got some busy months ahead of me.</p>
