<p>I am on the waitlist for soc 141 and hoping to get in. 19 people didn't show up on the first day of class, so I might have a chance (I am #14 on the waitlist)
Does anyone know if people get dropped out automatically if they don't show up in the first couple of weeks? </p>

<p>If the professors aren’t taking attendance then there is no way to drop the students who don’t come. It’s still POSSIBLE for you to get in though. I’m not saying how likely but it’s possible.</p>
<p>The professor actually took attendance for this class, that’s how she knew 19 didn’t show up. She also took attendance of people on the waitlist. I guess I’ll wait and see what happens.</p>
