In response to Galwain's earlier post:

I got a likely in early Feb, and I have a 2210 SAT. So you definitely can keep your eyes open for a letter.

Just got a likely letter... really excited!

I got my likely later a few days ago... Yes ..awesome feeling !!

I just received my likely letter today. It's a bit different in format compared to the previously noted letters:

"Our review process is not yet entirely complete, but we did want you to know that your admission to Dartmouth is very likely"
"Once again, congratulations and we will be in contact with you in April"

Along with that was an invitation to Dimensions. Does this mean I'm in for sure?

Sure sounds like it.

I got one too. ^_^ I am -so- relieved and happy.

how come dartmouth sends out so many likely letters? did any "real" internationals, that is ppl with non-US citizenships and who actually live in their native country, receive one?

^And for that matter, did any international students living in the US receive one?

Abel,

yes it is a real likely letter. Congrats. Contact them if you are interested in attending Dimensions (Dartmouth's admitted students days) so you can make your reservations.

Congrats to all recepiants. I can't wait to see the new admits

Has anything changed on your online application status check? Or is it still the same. thanks for any replies

All the recent likely letter recipents: number 1, congrats :) number 2, what was the date on your letter?

:) likely letter. i'd never heard of this before.

dated Feb 23, postmarked Feb 26.

i'm from the midwest...

hopingwaiting: I got my likely letter about two weeks ago, but my online status still only says that my application materials have been received. There's no information about being accepted or anything of that sort.

mine was postmarked march 1st.

i'm sooooo excited!!!

i can't believe it...

ok, so i got a likely letter.
not from dartmouth, but from st. mary's college of MD. hey, at least i'm in somewhere!

Congratulations! :) That's such a relief -- I think I'm just about the only person at my high school who hasn't been accepted anywhere yet. It really makes me wish I hadn't applied RD everywhere.

Oh dearrr paloma. You applied to St. Mary's ?!

Aieeee. Just keep waiting for Dartmouth!

why yes i did apply almost forcibly so, but i did.
