My friend received a likely letter and I didn't. I'm happy for her, obviously, but it still stings a little. :(

Slickhitter, congratulations!!!!!!

got likely letter + fin aid package. solid. if you want stats, lemme know

slickhitter, when was the letter dated???

thank you very much veryhappy!
on the letter it says february 23rd, however there is a stamp on the envelope that says the 26th of february.

yeah, i got one too. I def agree with you slickhitter about the relief, b/c i was deferred ED by Brown.

got mine today, floating on a cloud :)

I got one today!!!!!!
I was definitely NOT expecting that....WOW!

I'm guessing this is the start of the second wave of likely letters. I expected more CC'ers to have received them though in the second wave. Maybe not all of them came yet.

Well I guess I can hope for either tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday for a letter to come to me....You know, it takes a long time for letter to get from NH to FL.... :)

How about from NH to CA? Just kidding. I know I won't get one. :p

^NH to DC, then? :p
Oh, who am I kidding.

^NH to DC again :D
oy!

NH to CA; I just got mine today postmarked the 26 of February.

I am stoked! I definitely was not expecting one of these

One of my friends is sweating over this "likely letter"

Best of luck to you all!

Congrats to those of you who received likely letters. Anyone of SAT's 2220 or less - so I know if I should keep checking the mail or not?

It is definitely worth it to check your mail, but if not, I wouldn't be too disheartened were I you. My SAT was a 2240 Superscore: 700CR, 800M, 740CR; otherwise, a 2160: 640CR, 800M, 720W. I'd say that if you have some solid ECs, good recs, good essays, and a good GPA with a very difficult course load, you have a shot. Though with how random these are nowadays (I'm still unsure as to how I got one compared to other applicants on this forum that received one), don't take it too harshly if you don't get one or don't get in. You're still just as good a student as anyone else.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'm okay on everything else - but you are right - it is a long shot no matter what the circumstances are as apps are at record highs.

Congrats again on your achievement and acceptance. I visited the campus in the fall and was very impressed by everything I saw.

From what I've seen, I think they send most of the likelies to students with the highest SATs and Ranks (a lot are vals and sals). So don't fret if you don't get a likely and have lower stats; they could take you on the regular decision date

I'm hoping. At the time I took the SAT's, I thought I had done well. But, in retrospect, I probably should have taken them over. But - nothing left to do now but wait...and wait...and wait.
