I was wondering if anybody here applied to Binghamton through EOP admissions.

I did. hoping 4 the best.
what are your stats? care to share?
Good Luck to all.

Yep, I’m an accepted EOP applicant. Unfortunately, I am most likely attending Geneseo. Yes, I feel somewhat remorseful to let such a great school like Binghamton go. On top of that I received a full ride in aid from Binghamton. Another reason for my remoseful feelings.

hey blazinreaper, when did u hear?
maybe some stats to give me an idea of what to expect?
Why you choosing Geneseo over Binghamton?

I’ve receieved my mail at around early March. My stats weren’t that great. Hopefully trying to peak my highest potential in college.

Why did i choose Geneseo over Binghamton? One of the few reasons is that Binghamton’s campus didn’t really have that special appeal to me and when i visited it this past saturday i did not have that feel or vibe of mentality stating “oh this is my school”. Also statistically, Geneseo has ranked high than Binghamton as a #1 SUNY which also takes consideration. Lastly, I wasnt accepted to Binghamton’s business school as eop students are not firstly accepted to SOM but have the chance to do so in the following year. On the otherhand, Geneseo has directly accepted me to their business school which allows me stress-free as of Binghamton which i have to struggle and work hard enough to transfer into SOM. None of you attended the special EOP tour on saturday the 21st of March?

Wow.
I have pretty much the same SATs score.
96.32 GPA and im 52 out of 452 in my class.
I was going to go to the EOP tour but ultimately i couldnt go.
How is that you are not accepted into SOM right away? cause i wanted to transfer after maybe a year in Binghamton, u dont take the same classes?

Because of the high competitiveness and difficulties, SOM does not take any EOP students right off the bat. But, certaintly like any other student, they do have the chance to reapply/transfer to SOM at the end of their freshman year. In terms of EOP standards, i can bluntly tell you right now that you are not qualified for EOP with a 96.32 GPA. They have certain standards you have to meet which is about 80~88 average 800~1100 SATS; and of course a low economic status. That being said, you should give regular admission a shot.
