Welfare is stupid - its made for lazy poor people who dont work and never got an education while the hard working, well educated americans have to pay for them.

[/quote]

It's a fact that welfare wasn't created for the lazy.

These aliens, blacks, mexicans and all aliens complain when they can't get a job saying that white people are the only ones hired... Very untrue... It's because they can't speak f***in english properly!! I'm sick of it...

This part also contains pretty strong racial overtones, which was especially odd given that nobody had even responded to anything having to do with race. It's also pretty ignorant to act like there aren't plenty of whites on welfare.

Anyone concerned about the "yellow-mellow" comment made by Obama's preacher (not Rev Right, but the guy who gave the benediction) at the inauguration? What did this guy and Obama mean? I hope it doesn't mean further discrimination against high-achieving, competitive Asians.

My answer is yes, but the mob mentality of our society seems to deem "WE NEED CHANGE WHETHER IT'S GOOD OR BAD!" every 4-8 years party-wise.

How much longer do some people believe they can use the I have a "black friend" card to cover their clearly racist behaviour?
I would like to know the name of the black kid that goes around befriending racists so that I can smack him. ..

Although, I think I have finally figured out the mystery of the black friend...he/she is imaginary aren't they? ...Yep, your "pretend buddy" that you can whip out every time the word racist is thrown your way.

This very thread is why I am glad Obama is in office.

OP = racist, ignorant, strongly biased much?

Let's see...
During the last eight years of a republican administration we cut taxes and started a war.
This combination of expense that did not come back into the economy and increase in deficit spending led us to the financial situation that we are in today.
So, no, I am hopeful for better, smart times under the new administration.

Seriously everyone this year that thinks Obama is going to screw everything up is truly stupid. This situation compares back to when FDR took over for Hoover and Cooldige who had screwed everything up so bad because of their extreme right wing views. FDR is now considered one of, if not the best President ever, and Hoover and Coolidge are at the bottom of the list because they brought our country down into a depression and led us to WWI which didn't solve anything and only led to WWII. The Obama administration won't be any different. He takes over for the idiot, far right, don't-ever-do-anything Bush who only screwed up the country and ruined peoples lives both economically and in war by invading Iraq which was so incredibally stupid. WHY would you make a preemptive strike against Iraq without ANY actual proof that there was a threat to our country in Iraq or any proof of an actual WMD? Now here comes Obama (FDR) to save the day and bring us back to the top again. He is exactly what our country needs and will bring economic stability and also at least start to fix what damage the Bush administration has done around the world. A McCain Presidency would have just brought the USA four years deeper into the hole we have already dug for ourselves. How could you support that? Another Republican President would have done damage to this country that might have reached the point of unrepairable, and I am so glad that we finally woke up and stopped the madness. Now Obama gets to do his work and end clean up this mess that we got ourselves into.

Fact: Hilary >>>> Obama+Mccain

In regards to the welfare issue, it was not originally made with bad intentions, but it HAS sunk to a new level of low. A large number of people who are collecting welfare are simply using the government w/o actually seeking a job... which is most definitely disappointing to the hardworking middle class American. In theory, welfare should be revamped with conditional clauses so that it can be more efficient in "getting people back on their feet" so they can get a real job(as was the original dictated purpose)... right now it's not doing a great job in fulfilling its original purpose.

Obama is very similar to FDR at this point... he has 100 days to make or break his presidency... if we see strong positive results, his approval will skyrocket. However, if his plans/legislation just sits in Congress (most probable result) or it just fails flat out, we have another Republican come 2012.

Hillary isn't better than Obama or McCain. Sorry.

We COULD b***h and moan that Obama wasn't the right choice (despite the fact that he's been in office less than a week), that Republicans have better policies, talk about what if this and what if that, blah blah blah.

OR...you could support the man at one of the worst eras this country has ever experienced, when he needs your support most.

OP + Lou Dobbs + Bill O'Reilly + Sean Haneddy = BFFs

SUPERMAXSUPERMAXSUPERMAX! Duh.

Well, I would rather have a more Conservative/Libertarian president, but it is what it is. However, there are a lot of things that could change for the better (IMO):

-Institute a flat 10% tax rate. This would ensure true fairness to me. You shouldn't penalize people for having money, you should encourage more to reach that level. Don't take from the rich just because they have.
-Lower the corporate tax rates. The growth of business is essential to a capitalist society. But I am generally against taxes all together...
-Don't close Gitmo until you actually have a place to put the prisoners! Okay, they're getting trials, that's fair. It's the right thing to do. But we can't just shut down the prison and then go, "OH ****! WHERE DO THEY GO NOW?" Pelosi quickly rejected the idea of re-opening Alcatraz. Not in my district!
-Don't nationalize the banks. Just don't.

I could probably think of plenty more. I was all against Obama policy wise. But we can't change it for four years, so let's hope for the best (Pun intended).

No, because Republicans these days are mostly neocons and I prefer the socialist policies of Obama anyways.

Okay people you all are probally live in nice houses and have meals everyday. Let me give you the perpective of a poor person. The reality is most of these people I know don't get jobs becuse they are afraid of what will happen if they no longer have welfare to fall back on.

Also I should know about illegals since I live in mexicali and they are more hard working then any blue collar dude I've ever seen, their children are a different story, lazy..

Most of those people in that prison which I can't name are innocent. Think about it if you were locked up for no reason withouth a trial and you got mistreated I think you would hate the country that did that to you and the people that live there.

Slavery is not the only thing whites have done to Africans, let us not forget the aids virus and maleria which plagues Africa thanks to your kind.

"Slavery is not the only thing whites have done to Africans, let us not forget the aids virus and maleria which plagues Africa thanks to your kind."

This statement is both false and racist. You make all these posts about the racism you experience as a black person, and then you turn around and hate white people. Can't say I respect you much.

reads first point made by OP

Yep, he's a troll.

chris2k5, "Fact: Hilary >>>> Obama+Mccain"

<333333333333

To OP:your an ignorant racist. Be quiet.

I wish Bernie Sanders was our President...
