ap and igetc

<p>i read in a undergraduate website of ucla's college of letters and science that ap's can't satisfy General Education requirement. and i heard that ap's CAN satisfy igetc requirements. can igetc substitute ucla General Education? will they accept my igetc that is mainly satisfed with my ap scores? how do the uc's look at transfer applicants that have their igetc satisfied with ap's. another more specific question: is ap european history equivalent to western history since 1500 or both western history to 1500 and western history since 1500?</p>
