Yeah, i'd say maybe 10 out of 150 knew that one.

So what was the answer to the quote essay

there wasn't a specific answer, per se. i do believe they wanted something from either realism or impressionism. i didn't catch that because i skipped the whole "mid to late 19th century" tid-bit.

I guessed so much on the short essays. I randomly guessed Vermeer and I chose realism for the qoute at the very last second. I'm so glad that I didn't totally bomb the test.

Oy. I'm going to stop thinking about this for a while...until the final in class next week (ack). Then I can stop worrying until the second week of July.

Heres hoping the rest of America screwed up on the essays, to a more lenient curve....I totally bombed the essays

Yeah, this test was definitely the hardest AP test that I have taken so far; I felt like throwing the test at the overhead in anger after I was finished with it.

^Same here, along with a lot of fellow test-takers at my school....But everyone on this board seems to say it was easy

Man oh man, I owned this test. But then again, my teacher has a 96% passing rate out of about 300 kids every year, haha. I'm predicting a five. This totally rocks.

About the easiness, 4/5 takers at our school thought it was hard. I was the only one who felt prepared. I really have no idea what the curve is like, other than someone on here who said 60% MC is heading towards a 4. Basically I thought the slide MC's were super super easy, the regular MC was just OK - some easy, some ridiculous. I knew all of the short essay questions except I accidentally said that Louis Sullivan was brick, not steel. My first long essay was the problem. I dearly hope they agree with me that Lascaux doesn't count as the 'European tradition'. But I also used Garden of Earthly Delights and did that one pretty well so hopefully half credit on that essay would be great. The symbolism one was pretty good too.

I think I got at least a 3, I hope I got a 4. A 5 is probably out of the question since there were a lot of little details I didn't know. But I think I could realistically have gotten a 4.

I'm almost positive I got a 9 on the last essay. We did an essay with almost the EXACT same prompt, and I made a 9 on it. My teacher has been an AP grader for like 10 years, and said that she grades harder in class than she does when she's reading:D:D

I did pretty well on the MC, and I think I got 4 4s on the FRBOS. I totally forgot the architect on the skyscraper; we covered like 500 years of architecture in one class period. I argued pretty well on the Vermeer one and said it was Gentileschi, but I had a good argument. My first essay I think I got a 6 or 7, my non-european one wasn't that great.

The 2006 Slide-Based Multiple-Choice and Free-Response Questions are out.

I thought it wasn't bad overall, but that it was THE hardest AP test I've taken this year. I'm just glad it was in a subject I love.

I usually don't leave questions blank, but I left 3 MC unanswered. Aside from that, though, there were only 9 other MC I wasn't sure on and I'm pretty confident that I rocked the essays. I'm hoping for a 5.

Well you guys know what. People aree always saying how AP Art History is a crap class and how people can go in there and get a 5 on hte exam with no problem, so maybe collegeboard wanted to prove u guys wrong for all the people who think an exam/class is easy just because it isn't thought of as hard. lol I know one thing, it definitely changed my perspective on "crap" classes. well the class is crap though regardless lol.

My class was way harder than the actual AP test, some of the tests and quizzes we took were the hardest tests i've ever taken. You would look at them and be like "what the?".

Plasticine - what examples did you use for the first essay? And did you put Dada or Surrealism for the Cup Covered With Fur? Three Hundred students! Wow - you must have a great teacher!
