oh my God. did the quote essay ask for a 19th century piece???

lol yeah, late to mid 19th century:D

oh my God. did the quote essay ask for a 19th century piece???

lol yeah, late to mid 19th century:D

I think it said mid to late nineteenth century. I used Olympia.

i am going to die! i thought i read that, then i just attacked the paper.

i so used stieglitz photograph from 1907. :(

By the way, who in god's name was the architect of that building. My art history even looked at the slide later and was like "I dunno."

sullivan! i dominated that one.

I also used Hokusai's "Great Wave" for the naturalism essay and the "Palette of Narmer" & "Arnolfini and his Bride" for the other.

what is the max score you think i could get for using a work 7 years too late?

i hope they see past that. or don't know. haha.

So who was the guy in the quote essay

I don't remember, didn't it start with a B?

bauldiere? something or the other.

Remember guys that chose Carravagio: It said who do YOU THINK it was, then justify. I bet if you wrote a great essay saying why you think it was caravaggio you would get a good mark. I used a Haida totem pole for both the non western pieces

a kid in my class totally said vermeer. he was the last person on my mind!

I definitely dominated all of the architecture stuff. i was like this building, namely the pirie-scott department store building, blah blah blah louis sullivan, minimal steel structure, more windows, form follows function..
owned.
Multiple choice was weird...but easy-ish. 4 easily...borderline 5

i screwed up some essays. a 5 would be highly unexpected.

First essay - Catal Huyuk painting and Bierstadt's Rocky Mountains
Last essay - Allegory of Good and Bad Government and Dutch Proverbs

Guitar lady pwned me, as did the furry cup.

I rocked the Sullivan one, and did okay on the others.

I'm estimating a solid 3.

i want to talk about all of the multiple choice! i know some of them i completely missed after ....not talking about them with students from my class.

haha. MC was great. there were 3-4 i did not really know, but took good guesses.

oh man... out of my school where one hundred some people took the test... so far 4 people have gotten Vermeer's "The Guitar Player" right. Of course there's probably more. Most people put Caravagio or Velazquez. The Bauldelair quote caught us off guard too... I personally wrote about the de bruke german expressionists... realism didnt even cross my mind... argh...

13 people took it at my school. one (that i know of) got it right.

I got Vermeer. Our whole class guessed Vermeer. But, then, our teacher was obsessed with Vermeer
