On the AP bio test are we allowed to use rollarball pens? (I love my Triumph 730R)

Also can we use lead pencils for the MC?

I don’t think you’re ever allowed to use mechanical pencils on collegeboard/standardized tests. It might be because they don’t want you slipping pieces of paper into the pencil (as if you couldn’t just put them in your pocket).

^ i always use mechanical pencils lol

what about the pen?

just don’t use fountain pens? lol
i mean honestly…it’s no big deal…use whatever you want
or bring spares and ask your proctor about it…
i don’t see a problem

You’re supposed to use a pencil on the MC - it doesn’t matter whether it’s lead or mechanical, as long as it’s #2. Slip a piece of paper into the pencil? If you try that hard to cheat then you’re definitely not allocating your mental resources correctly. The pen should be fine as long as it’s blue/black and doesn’t smear.

Might sound stupid (i’ve started using lead pencils just recently) but how do you know your lead pencil is #2 >_>

Do you HAVE to use pen for free response?

I would go with a standard #2 to be safe, if you have any doubts. BTW, If you buy a tube of extra lead, the number is usually mentioned somewhere on the label.
