AP Chemistry Review Thread

before it was 10 min for the equations and 40 min for the others...idk if its the same or not though

yea the new format im not sure, oh well it dosnt matter
just study and be confident going in

can someone email me some of the previous mc questions and answers. I hear #1 is supposed to be gaseous equilibrium

hmm really? my teacher thinks its Keq lol

It can be any equilibrium.

My teacher is banking on it being something to do with gases, though this year he didn't get any input from other schools.

In regards to time limit on the free response, this paper I have says that Part A will be 55 minutes and it'll have the eq problem and 2 other problems. Part B will be 40 minutes and it will have the equations plus 2 other problems.

Anyone who has solved Barron's AP chemistry Practice tests (on back of the book)... do you like the questions? Do you think those are similar to real AP style questions? If not, what is the greatest book?

hey guys

is anyone willing to list all of the colors of solutions/gases that ets might test on? i havent really done any of this in class except for like copper is blue, nickel is green, and permanganate is purple

oh and the flame tests? please describe (didnt do that either)

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here's my thought...6 FRQ right?
1. equilibrium
2. net ionic
3. lab essay
(4. thermodynamics
5. acids and bases
6. bonding (essay))
thats what i think
or at least thats what the odds are

Pretty much right, except that if the equilibrium problem is not acid/base, there won't be an additional acid/base.

My teacher is saying it may be an acid/base buffer solution equilibrium =]

For the equations section, do we need to put the states of each reactant/product? like if it's a gas or solid and stuff?

No, states aren't required

ok thanks~

nobody feeling a kinetics one?

could someone please explain this to me?

Which of the following oxides is a gas @ 25 C and 1 ATM?

a)Rb2O
b)N2O
c)Na2O2
d)SiO2
e)La2O3

Thank you

must be laughing gas, n2o

Is it B? 10 char

how do you get that

What percentage of the test do we have to get right to get a 5? Is it around 75% or something?
