After looking at the AP Credit page on Cornell website I am still confused about the language ap credit. If i get a 4 or 5 on the AP French test, do I get out of the language requirement? Or do I have to then take a placement test to get out of it? I'm just a little confused.

I assume you’re looking at a page similar to this: [Advanced Placement - Cornell University - Acalog ACMS?](<a href=“Cornell University - Acalog ACMS™”>Advanced Placement - Cornell University - Acalog ACMS™)
According to this, if you get a 4 or 5 on the French AP test, you’ll get 3 credits. However, if you wanted to take a higher level French course at Cornell, you’d take the department exam so they can place you in an appropriate level course.

As for the language requirement, what college are you in? The requirements differ by college
