AP European History

Has anyone taken this class before? Is it very difficult?

It's a fun class.

Fun? really...

I found the info. to be genuinely interesting. It made me consider a minor in Euro history.

The difficulty of the class itself will depend entirely on your teacher.
In terms of the AP test itself...I found it pretty easy. I don't think I had the best grasp of Euro history, I don't find it as interesting as most other areas of History, and I found the multiple choice section on test day to be extremely challenging...but I got a 5. Of course, that was my very first AP, so I may be mistakenly remembering the test as hard, because I was not yet used to the fact that you could miss a lot on APs and still get a good score. I also had a really good teacher.

Which other course talks about the defenestration of Prague? Or defenestrations in general? ;)

I'm taking this class this coming year. Apparently, the teacher is anything less than charming and nice, and the class is extremely difficult. Though, this is coming from some dimwits in my school, and I'm really looking forward to the class. The summer work has been a pain, though.

*Which other course talks about the defenestration of Prague? Or defenestrations in general? *

lol I never learned about what that is

my school doesn't offer it

and what other course talks about peter the great's midget fetish?

AP euro made my life. ;) it was difficult at first - it being my first ap class - but it was sooo worth it. i had an awesome teacher who made sure we knew the material. and there was definitely a lotta material to cover(400 years of history - whadya expect?)

//edit://

to be more specific, euro's just like any other AP course - just a lot more jampacked with info. and yeah, you gotta work hard to get a 5 on the ap test. (at least i did) i kept a buttload of lecture notes. bought birdsall's modern european history. made billions of flashcards. wrote many essays. looked at renaissance art, dada art, etc. and researched anna akhmatova's poetry as a critique on stalinism.

you should look at the AP tests section of cc for more info...

I loved AP Euro. It is the most interesting social studies class I've ever taken. I only got a 3 on the exam, but it was my first AP so I didn't know what to expect completely. You should take Euro, it's definately worth your time

^You loved it, and you barely passed, lol.

"barely passing"..........yeah, even w/o studying hardly for this class, u can barely pass it....
take this class........trust me, u'll love it!

i took last year as a sophmore...it was really easy for me at least (most people in my class thought it was difficult) but EXTREMELY boring

I haven't taken the class, though I plan to. But I've heard from people who have taken the class that it's great. I think a large part of that is the instructor who teaches it in my school is supposed to be really funny and nice.

It's probably better if you ask people at your school who have taken that class, their opinion on it. Because it really does matter what kind of teacher you get.

Boring? Eh, I don't think so! the class might be boring but the content is one of the most interesting of all APs or even other courses offered at a school. ;)
