the frq were as can be expected-but on the hard-ish side of that continuum. i didnt get #3 past part b....

on the other hand the mc were the hardest mc i have ever taken in my entire life. random topic distribution, much more of the more eclectic or obscure type topics/questions......and we prepped SOOOO much. we finished the course completely in december (and none had ever taken a physics class b4) and spent the rest of the year prepping and prepping and prepping.....i musta done about 18+ practice exams!!!!!!
we also every frq question administered since 1984!

i left about 25 blank.

IsabelB-- Your class covered the ENTIRE Physics B curriculum in ONE SEMESTER? That seems nearly impossible to me. I would've hated to be in that class.. regardless of having five months to "prep."

Our class finished before December as well. Three weeks before Spring Break, the class did well on their first mock exams. The scores were generally 150-160 out of 180. Some scores were in the 170s.

^yeah mc610 it was ridicuolously intense...it has really hard for me at first, then i picked up and got adjusted and started killing it....but by the time april rolled around I was just sooooooo burned out!!!!! i barely cracked a book from the 2nd half of march on.....it was bad. and it makes me ****ed b/c i know i could have done better if it was less of a suicidal paced class.....i did chem the year before and did very well!

apostle365, I am a sophmore. Only take the class if you don't mind a lot of studying a lot of impossible material, want to be a rocket scientist, or enjoy having no life because you're studying until the test is over.

As you can see, I thought it was hard and I hated the class. ^_^

the curve is much lower than 75%.. the 1998 test was a 58% for a 5.. yeah.. this test wil probbaly be 62 to 65% for a 5... so probably 110-115 out of 180 (FR was only worth 80 points, so i think they'll use some multiplication factor on each FR to make it out of 90)... based on what i just said, then a 110-115 on a scale of 180 will probably be a 5 (because they weight the MC too to make it out of 90 instead of out of 70.. for the 50/50 weight)

but if they make it out of 160 and weight each section to be 80 each instead of 90 each, then a 98-103 out of 160 will probably be a 5

Ehh... I skipped about 15 multiple choice, probably. They weren't terrible, but I honestly did not study all that much and figured I'd be better off not guessing when I can't eliminate more than one answer.

The FRQs were pretty easy. I pwned the first two and the thermodynamic one, and picked up parts of the rest of them. I hope I did the last one right for the most part.

I just need a 3, want a 4. Don't really care about the 5 because it doesn't get me any more college credit where I'm going.
