AP Psych for rising sophomore or not

ok so I have 3 days to decide whether or not I want to take AP Psychology sophomore year. As an applicant for the mid tier UC’s would taking the 4th AP/Uc weighted honors help to the point where it would be worth the risk of getting a B and hurting my gpa remember UC’s have a weighted cap so a B in an AP wouldnt be the same as the A in a regular

Go ahead and take it. At my school, it’s easier than AP Human. I actually plan on self-studying it because it’s only a half semester course and mostly memorization. Also, why are you so obsessed with UC’s and weighted requirements? It’s all you ever post about.

I would say go for it! Don’t worry so much about the UC scale.

k, @Hamlon I guess you could say I’m not that smart(for CC standards) so I have to really think about what courses to take because even though i work hard I can’t get straight A’s in all AP’s like some kids on here, to ensure I get into at least a mid-tier UC(I live in california)

You really shouldn’t plan your classes around what you think UC’s will like more. Take something fun or interesting. Remember that the people on CC only represent a tiny percent of students that get accepted into highly competitive colleges. Don’t underestimate yourself. The word “smart” is very subjective. The worst thing you can do is make long-term goals that don’t account for a change of plans. You can’t predict the future, but there’s nothing wrong with preparation.

Don’t worry about admissions. Take AP Psych because it is soo fun and interesting. At least at my school
