Does anyone know when the deadline is for submitting an appeal?
@madhusky2019 I have the same question. So you got an email saying they reviewed your appeal? Then you got a letter being admitted?
@worrybug , in a way. My appeal was a rather unusual circumstance. But yes, I got in after I was initially denied.
@pchristian90 No. I got an email about my waitlisted confirmation letter (the purple one) being recieved. THEN I recieved a letter via snail-mail regarding my petition being recieved and in process of being reviewed. Just over a week later I got my Gold Big Envelope, then two days later I got a letter saying my petition was approved. The odd thing was the dates, the petition letter was dated April 6 but postmarked April 8. The Big Envelope was postmarked April 7. They must come from different departments from Admin. Financial aid email showed up today. I hope that clears up the timing confusion.
@madhusky2019 How many days did it take between sending the appeal package and receiving the acceptance? In this case, the gold Big Envelope since that’s what you received first.
About 13 days from when I sent my packet but about 7 days from when I recieved the letter that they recieved my petition. My Unofficial transcript loaded a few days before I got the Big envelope.
@madhusky2019 Hey! So I got an email about my petition being received! Then today, I got an email saying they received my petition and it’s being reviewed! I still haven’t found out anything? My unofficial transcript hasn’t loaded. Does this sound good or bad?

I received an email today from UW Seattle School of Social Work! They are encouraging for me to apply since they are extending the deadline to May 1st! The thing is, I was denied to the University but appealed the decision. What I am thinking is that maybe I was accepted and UW has contacted the School of Social Work to contact me because I don’t even know how the School of Social Work obtained my email.

@pchristian90 I had a similar email contact from a UW department prior to getting my unofficial transcript to load! It certainly sounds promising

It was an email from Fin Aid requesting some info (I should have clarified that when I said similar)
@madhusky2019 I know this was a while ago hahaha but I have a question: for the letter recs, you physically get them from the person who wrote it, and mail that with the appeal letter, correct?
@leeeee98 to answer your question yes, but if i remember correctly they don’t bother to look at letter of recs in the appeal process
