I've read somewhere that UT austin maintains no waitlists, will that increase the chances of an appeal? because only approximately half of admitted students enroll in the university, which leaves the rest of the spaces for appealers?
HOw's my theory?? :D

You can give it a shot, but they generally know how many people to accept based on the number of matriculants from previous years (close to 50% of applicants matriculate at most schools), so naturally they don't expect everyone to sign up. There wouldn't be enough room.

Ohh ok. Well, i guess I've got the wrong theory. Do you know anyone who appealed to UT Austin and get admitted? Does anyone even know the numbers?

Another thing, how will I know if I'm admitted? Will they post the new decision on the utdirect page? How long after I sent in an appeal will they reply?
