I want to apply to the business school at UT but one of the major things lacking in my application is my class rank, which is now barely at the border of top 25%. my ec’s are good, with a few leadership positions, I have a job. my ACT is a 35, and hopefully my essays will turn out well. is there something I could add to my application that would overshadow a little of my class rank? possibly like starting a fundraiser or something? or participating in a business internship? any ideas or help is much appreciated!
Stay positive. IMHO your 35 ACT will go a long way for you. Go hard at your GPA in the Fall to show upward trend. I’m assuming you have lots of AP’s too. Write your best essay’s and from the heart. Rank is important. You’d be surprised what an increase of 0.1 in your GPA will do for your ranking.
