^^ then what’s the reason?!!! To buy more time? Apparently, people say it’s cause they have an excessive amount of paperwork and need time to sort it out.

good movie ^

ps. hand puppets are sweet.

OKay, so approximately when are we getting the decisions? :D

You would think that if they are extending the deadline that they wouldn’t have a sufficiently satisfying number of applicants. But if they’re extending it to allow for more processing time, that seems ridiculous as they are allowing a chance for even more paperwork to come flooding in. I don’t get it.

And I’m unnecessarily excited to get my Cornell AppID, lol.

Phew! I’m not the only one excited for my AppID. I was JUST telling my hand puppet how I really want to know how many parts of my application they’re missing.

The hand puppet is happy because the shuttle bus from the library is leaving in 10 minutes and I want to sleep so badly.

P.S. - I’m kidding, there’s no hand puppet, I’m just feeling quirky today.

let’s take a deep breath, because we did it! We have for the most part all pressed that submit button and now we can breath a little more easily.

Good luck you guys!

For the sake of the smile it brought to my face, I would like to believe that there is, indeed, a hand puppet sitting next to you.

I submitted my online app on a Friday and I got the AppID the following Monday, so you guys should have it this wednesday or thursday.
I love my ID coz I used to get ID’s with like 7 digits when applying to other schools but my Cornell ID has the initials of my name and 2 numbers :D

wait the deadline was extended???headdesk argh! i submitted my app like two hours ago! i could have edited my essays some more…:'(

I just calculated the CALS acceptance rate not including GT’s for 2009. It is 32%! Not bad at all, it gives me a sliver of hope.

Castiel count the CALS acceptance rate without factoring in NY state residents, if its possible. That would be a more reliable statistic to base our hopes on!

Where does it say the deadline got extended? I just spend today working on this instead of doing a pretty big assgt. gaaah

@chris0089: I wish I could sorry that is the best I can do, since all I have is the amount who applied to CALS, the amount accepted, and that the GT’s were 1/3 of the applicant pool.

But I hear that the NY state resident thing does not help as much as we think. Also the number is not including internals.

I already submitted my app, and I used the additional comments for one thing, but I forgot to include some more stuff in the additional comments. you guys think its ok to mail them a copy of my additional comments?

In the mean time, check out this

I have a question…I am using the common app midterm report. Does it matter if it’s the common app one or Cornells special one? I only got one professor’s signature so far but I would hate to bug her again to fill the Cornell one

sigh…why am i still up? darn Red Bulls.

why am i just finding this thread? i’m tired as hell, but i’d like to say good luck to everyone!

@Cheeky4409 thanks - I’m glad someone appreciates my humour =)

@steeze - I remember when I was applying Freshman admissions, I added some Add Info after the fact - they just let me e-mail it in. I don’t know if it’s the same dealio with Transfers - but I assume so. I would just call them.

@melonbread91 - my day started around when your’s ended. How WEIRD IS THAT?!

Also, is it bad that the downloaded date is after the deadline?
