I feel like I spend far too much time daydreaming about Cornell…sigh

By the way (please pardon my obsessiveness), everyone’s selfservice page still just has that message up from the admissions office, right?

By the way (please pardon my obsessiveness), everyone’s selfservice page still just has that message up from the admissions office, right?

yes!
i thought i would stop checking the self service page till they send notifications via email but i guess it became my habit. i check it before i go to sleep every night!

I noticed that there will be a phone interview for students who applied to
ILR.
Does anyone know what kind of questions they will be asking and if this interview plays a role in their decision to accept or reject students?

lols sorry castiel, it wasn’t intentional. and i went bc it was my friend’s bday lols. but if/when i transfer to somewhere awesome then we should totally have a meetup. for now though, i’m livin’ the life of a post-bacc (i.e. my friend’s)

seriously, post-baccs have it hard. my friend graduated from stanford with like a 3.0 (>.<) and failed to get into a med school after graduation. now she’s like…psycho about getting an A in all of the required premed classes because it’s her last chance to apply to certain schools. it rubbed off on me lols because i dont really see any of my friends b/c i’m so busy pulling all my damn stuff together for these apps. now for me and her it’s “A…or die.” ironically we went to the rival high schools, but she graduated like 7 years before i did. small world dammit.

wow, transferring to a top school might actually kill your dream of being a doctor o.O

lol i was just kidding. Woot sure sounds good, we should totally have a meetup. Preferably at Cornell!!!

I just back from spring break and I found my old Cornell jacket so naturally I brought it to NYU with me. I can’t wait to wear it lol.

ekk yeah I live in the A or die moments, cuz I need top notch grades to transfer somewhere!!!

HA, let’s not get started about killing dreams of being a doctor with this dumb ****ing bill -_-

hey inmacdonald,

it doesn’t seem like anyone is answering your questions. You should start hearing back from ILR as early as the middle of April. As for the phone interview, I’m not really sure. (I’m a Human Ecology applicant) but I’d figure you might be asked why you want to go to ILR and those kinds of things. I think they’re pretty informal. Perhaps someone else can answer you more adeptly.

Wait, we needed to send in CSS stuff and everything else on March 15? Oh *. Oh *. I never knew this. I have other schools that had a deadline on March 1st. Oh *. The CSS profile makes you choose between returning student or transfer student. I don’t even know if I’ve been accepted anywhere. Oh *. What the hell am I supposed to do?

Wait calm down. So did u or didnt u submit the CSS and Cornell finaid app?

^submit it now, they will take it, its fine.

I emailed them today and they said they are downloading fafsa’s so not everyones was received plus it takes 2 weeks to process it.

yup, everything is super crazy now, and i thought they extended the deadline for the application materials? In that case, god bless cornell.

Alright, good. I submitted my FAFSA, but I completely forgot about the rest of the financial aid stuff and I never received an e-mail from Admissions.

just to remind my fellow international students: remember to send or fax the photocopy or your passport.

ntmikey - what school or college are u applying to? Me engineering. i am an international too.

ntmikey: is it a must?

Yeah, it’s said on the intl student financial aid

Urgh guys. I keep dwelling on the 45 international acceptances and I keep mulling about the miniscule number who have been accepted. I mean 3000 over people applied (no idea how many internationals) and only 45 intl acceptances? That’s like 1 percent???

@hurricane: CALS, biological sciences.
@boysdontcryy: we’re all in this together. let’s keep our fingers crossed

Yes let’s do that. I do not know how many international will get in, but I am pretty sure that there is going numerous from this forum :-)
