somedude, I had the same predicament. I mailed the Financial Aid Forms about 10 days after the deadline because my non-custodial parent refused to provide information (it’s complicated, he said he would so I waited for him to file his income tax return and then he refused to give it to me). So I sent the FA Office a short letter explaining my situation.

I really hope this doesn’t jeopardize my FA package if by some miracle I get in. I really would need all the grant assistance I can get because my family’s EFC is 0. My mother hasn’t worked since 2004, she lives off of social security benefits

Mine was a combination of my parents not having certain information ready and me being unaware that Cornell has a special intricate application form (my other schools just use the CSS and FAFSA).

I still haven’t sent that form in, and probably won’t. If I do somehow get in and don’t end up going to BC or one of my other targets, I’ll try for transfer Spring semester and make sure to get it in then.

To be honest, I almost hope that I don’t get in so that some of you guys can- I applied to Cornell mostly for ****s and giggles as I know I am a large reach, especially considering my major, and most of you guys and gals want it much more than I do.

Guys, don’t worry about missing documents affecting your FA.
I sent in my things on 3/14 but apparently they got lost in the mail and Cornell didn’t receive anything.
I emailed the FA office asking whether this will affect my FA eligibility,
they emailed back the next day and said just mail all the documents again and this will not affect my FA.

Yeah, I had the same FA problem because I can’t provide the tax information (long story)… and they said that all it will affect is how soon I will get FA information. It might be after I have to pay my deposit - but I have faith they’ll be fair, so I’m ok with that.

When do you guys think the next wave will be? I checked the mailbox three times today lolz.

At least midterms are making the wait go faster for me. although i dont understand how a 102 on one eco midtermand a 105 on the other with perfect attendance constitutes an A-…

i have 1st midterms then 2nd midterms and then finals. Finals are 3 weeks from 2nd midterms here. so after this week we will be getting ready for finals

Aw, CC bonding, awesome! Good luck everyone! What? Only one Comm major? Lame…haha. I didn’t know acceptances would be happening so soon, cool. I just had my Orientation Leader interview last week, so hopefully I’ll be seeing some of you in my group!

P.S. Becker >>>>> all west campus houses, haha. Unfortunately I’m in McFaddin Tower next year -_- but i’ll be chilling at becker all the time, yo. Isn’t that right, Ironic?

hey water, when you applied for comm, did you take any comm-related classes? because i really haven’t…
and did you have ECs related to communications when you applied to cornell?
