<p>I heard that IELTS is exempted if u have an A in English… Is that true?</p>
<p>Winningstreak, A&M offers generous merit scholarships to US students who do well on the PSAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Son managed to qualify for a couple of 4 year merit scholarships that cover most of his expenses. They are quite attractive because they are not need based.</p>
<p>Does texas A and M offer need based aid to international students?</p>
<p>I believe internationals don’t qualify for need based scholarships at A&M. However, if an international student earns a merit scholarship of $1000+ at A&M, they also qualify for in-state tuition which is about $9,000 a year instead of $26,000 or so.</p>
<p>Personally, I think UT might be a better school for international students looking for merit scholarships. I remember there was an international student on cc last year who said he was offered a full ride merit scholarship from UT.</p>
<p>Both universities have a lot of money, to offer. So, if you have good stats, you could apply to both. However, there is a lot of uncertainty with state schools vs. private universities. State universities don’t guarantee anything, don’t promise to give anything in writing. our experience with A&M has been very positive. Son was given a lot more than we were expecting or promised.</p>

<p>Okay thats the question that confused me too. Its going to be like:
For example, if you will complete your A levels in june 2014, Put GCE A Levels (subject name), and your predicted grade… It’s very simple… Ask you counsellors to help you out with that.</p>

<p>Is anyone sitting for the ACT on Saturday? College Apps are such a mess. I need to start on all the supplements ASAP.</p>

<p>i’m apply to 3 right now…1 ed 2 ea…ED app due 8th…EAs due on 15th…once i’m done with the ACT i can concentrate on em!</p>
<p>That was commonapp. I’ve submitted 6 Apps fully so far. I’m applying to an inhuman amount of universities so there’s a lot more supplements I need to finish before i’m done.
With the ACT, i’m currently standing at a steady 34-35 English 30-32 Math (I know. It’s horrible) 34-35 Science and 34-35 English. Other than Math, i’m sure i’ll do at least as well as this tomorrow if not more.
