applying to SDSU...

I'm applying for Fall 2011 from AZ (pre-med, but business/finance major, spanish minor) and I noticed there isn't much going on threadwise. Anyone here have any opinions or insight on the school, classes, experience, anything? :)

Hello, I go to San Jose State University in California and I applied to SDSU last year. All I know is that the California State University System is suffering major budget cuts from California’s budget deficit. SDSU, like all universities in the system, are giving major priority to Local Freshmen applicants and local community college transfer applicants. On top of that, SDSU is one of the hardest state schools to get into along with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly Pomona, and CSU Long Beach. I am not very sure where that would put you in terms of admissions. Usually, out of state applicants need to have really high GPA and SAT scores, especially, for more competitive school like SDSU. Remember also, that you would have to pay out of state tuition. I wish you the best of luck and it is defiantly possible to do. Hope I helped.

By the way, i am actually want to apply to SDSU as a transfer student, and all of this info is from my college advisor.

It is very hard to transfer to San Diego State as a junior from anywhere but the local San Diego community college. BUT, as a freshmen applicant, although it is competitive and San Diego residents are given extra preference, out of state students are treated the same as any california resident outside of San Diego. They have an excellent buisness program and it is very fun.
