<p>Son applied to USMA and had interviews with both offices of Corker and Alexander, as well as congressman. He is on pins and needles and is anxiously awaiting any news on the release of nominations, too. (No LOA). Perhaps they are coordinating their slates of nominees with no duplications so more candidates have the likelihood of acceptance.</p>
<p>Which congressional district are you in? Son's interview for 1st District was not until Jan. 12.</p>

<p>My appointment packet came yesterday in the mail. (manila) There is a nice blue folder inside with a congratulatory letter from Vice Admiral Fowler. I will be running cross country and track for Navy. GO NAVY! Incoming class of 2012. July 2nd is I-Day. Can't wait.</p>

<p>Congrats! I got a call yesterday from my representative and today I received a letter from my senator. The rep told me my appointment would be in the mail in a few days!</p>

<p>Posted this on another thread, but since this is the "Appointment" thread, here goes again.</p>
<p>Son received his beautiful blue binder a couple days ago. He had heard from his BGO a week before that it was on the way, but there's just something about having it in hand that makes it all real.</p>
<p>He is absolutely thrilled; been a dream and goal since mid-8th grade.</p>
<p>He's a swimmer (not a blue chip) from Florida.</p>
<p>Congratulations to the Class of 2012, and good luck and patience to those in the waiting mode.</p>
