From what I remember of the admissions cycle last year appointments really started appearing the first week of March. March was a big month overall and it went on until mid-April. Then it slowed a bit and ended w/ a couple of late appointments in early/mid June. Anecdotal.

Heck, I will be relieved! Do you know if they send only acceptance letters during this period? Or do they try and let people know either way during this time...?

My son heard the good news from his congressman last week, right about the time you started this thread so your timing was right on…at least for him.... he was obviously pretty excited all week...enjoyed telling his teachers, coaches and friends…everyone that has been so supportive of his efforts to make this happen. Maybe it’s the skepticism that comes with age but I couldn’t really relax or let myself fully believe it until he had something from the Academy….so it didn’t really hit me until the big envelope showed up in the mail yesterday with his blue appointment folder in it…. Phew... ok it’s real and he’s in…. so one son in....three more to go

Today during my 5th period class I got a call slip to go to the office "Re: Please Call Con. Lynn Woolsey" with the phone number written on it. Go in during 5th, the attendance lady hands me the phone, I dial, and... my appointment's in the mail! Definitely one of the more interesting call slips to be given out at my high school. Not too much of a surprise considering I already had an LOA, but exciting that I got to walk back into my English class knowing where I'm going to college. (and beyond......)
