Appointments!

I know that it was about a month from the time my daughter received the nomination until the appointment arrived. I know how nervewracking it is to wait. Can you call the Liaison officer for any update?

Thanks a lot, momoftwins. Knowing that it took a month for you daughter does make me feel better. The site only showed my file being completed about two weeks ago. So I guess I shouldn't be too worried just yet. I'm going to call my Liason officer again just to check up on everything. If anything, it will give me something to do to pass the time....

As some of you know my daughter has been struggling with the ROTC offer and the WP appointment which were offered on the same day. Last night she told me she was probably going to accept WP. This morning she said that she is positive and now that her mind is made up she is soooo excited about it. We mailed the acceptance card a few minutes ago. I'm happy for her because I am confident that she made a sound decision, going through all of her options very methodically.

Thanks again for everyone's support! I can't wait to find out about more appointments. GO ARMY!

Congratulations!

flynavy,

Congratulations on receiving your appointment! Will you be accepting?

I'm not sure yet, I also recieved an appointment to the Merchant Marine Academy, and recieved a Naval Academy Foundation Scholarship to NMMI....I'm leaning towards the Naval Academy Foundation, only because the Naval Academy has been my dream since I was little. But it is nice to have choices.

Couldn't log in to the USMA Admissions Candidate Login today. For those of you who've received appointments - can you still log in to the Candidate website? Or have they removed you since you've now received appointments.

bond,

We still have access to the site. And there does not seem to be any update once the appointment is received.

Hoping for good news for you!

Ahh!! I sent in my acceptance today... I can't believe it. Wow. I'm kind of in shock.

Senator's office just called last night to tell me that West Point had called them. Apparently my appointment was mailed off today. I'm pretty excited, but I still don't feel too much different from when I had my LOA and nomination. Once I get that appointment in my hands though...

Great news pcrunner. Keep checking the mailbox. Sounds like your much anticipated package will arrive shortly.

I received my LOA in late August and my nomination on January 15. Does anyone have a general idea of when I might receieve my appointment?

Soon. While you may have been told of your nomination by your MOC, the list might not yet have been forwarded to USMA. Plus - they're at their processing peak right now.

Congrats in advance.

I just checked my candidate website today and they've updated it so as to show they've received my nomination. Is there generally a set timeframe on when I would receive my appointment at this point?

My daughter received the package about 2 weeks after the website had changed. And yes, we checked the mailbox many times a day.

I am a member of the class of 2008. The biggest thing I can recommend to any candidate is to workout and read as much as possible about life at west point.

Great site, Brendan! Thanks for sharing it. I'm certain that we'll be coming back to it in anticipation of next year.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! Haha, and you're completely right about there being a million things to fill out now. I'm not complaining though; the admissions process is over, and I'm one step closer to West Point. It's pretty exciting to finally have that appointment in my hands. Anyways, I'm gonna go read through everything again now. Thanks for all the help, guys!

Congratulations, pcrunner!!! It's a great feeling to know the waiting is over.

I received my Appointment yesterday!
