Can’t believe I screwed up the math section!! I finished it with 18 mins of checking. And I consistently get 35-36 on math section on all the practice tests.
Gonna retake it next year since I’m still a sophomore.

Is it worth retaking the ACT to achieve a perfect 36? Do colleges discriminate between the two scores?

I am not sure if I should redo it though. I am sorry if I sound pedantic. It’s just that many people I have talked have said that by getting 35/36 your chances of admissions to top uni’s would significantly improve. Is this true?
No. Literally, there is no difference between a 34 and a 36. Colleges (yes, even Ivies) will not care. Focus on other parts of you application at this point.
There is no telling. My daughter had her October results released the day she went in to take her December test! Then the December results came out on the first available day.
It really is super random. For the life of me, I don’t understand why it takes so long to grade the multiple choice portions of the tests.
My son (a sophomore and first time to take ACT) got a 35C…36M 36E 36S and 30R…he really doesn’t want to take the entire test again simply because of the average Reading score…he is STEM and would love to go to MIT CalTech type school…transcripts and grades are even better…so…hopefully not taking will be ok
Is a 33 C good enough for the Ivies? or should I retake… I also have a 2230 SAT superscore
