Are recruiters at ASU from other states too?

Hey everyone!

Are the recruiters/job opportunities in ASU mainly within Arizona? Or are they from other states as well?

I’m really considering attending ASU, but I would not like to stay in Arizona after graduation. I’m a CA resident and I was planning on either finding a job in LA or Seattle (also praying for one in NY) afterwards. The major I’m going to pursue is computer science, software engineering.

Arizona State has a very large, well-respected engineering school so they are going to get large company recruiters coming from all over the country, but I would guess that they will especially be from the western half of the United States, definitely not just Arizona.
In fact, a couple years ago ASU ranked was ranked 5th favorite by company recruiters:

Smaller companies tend to actively recruit more locally because they have smaller recruitiing budgets, but nothing says you can’t initiate the contact with a company you’re interested in.

Thanks for that info!

I’m a sophomore business student at ASU right now and, while I can’t comment on your areas of interest specifically, I can tell you that STEMFamily hit it right on the head. There are always a ton of companies from all over the western half of the US at our career fairs, and we tend to get a lot from big cities in the Midwest too.

Awesome! Thanks

My son, a Supply Chain Management major, just graduated last year from ASU. He found his summer internships and his full time job through ASU’s Career Center. His worked in California his first summer, Chicago second summer, Seattle third summer and his full time job now in the East Coast. He has also gotten an offer from a company in Houston, TX.

wow! that sounds great. I hope Ill be just as fortunate when I attend. Thanks for sharing Christian2.
