Are The Decisions Already Made?

hey guys i'm an international student who desparetly wants to study at MIT ( obvious...)
today feb 10 i've been awarded four Awards by Cambridge University....A-Level Physics, A-Level Chem, A-Level Math and Overall A-Level topper of Nepal..... I've sent an e-mail to mit stating this....will they consider this in my application or is it too late...
plz give me some suggestions..
thanx

I am pretty sure decisions are made already. According to Mollie, once they start the selection, it is already too late to send in extra things.

Oh god...... i'm very very veryyyyyyy sad.......

hey pacific34

Don't fret about it. I am sending extra important stuff myself today. At least it's better than not sending it in, which obviously has zero chance for it to be evaluated.

You either have them evaluated, or you don't. Either way, you don't loose anything.

thats true.....nothing to loose.....god plz........help us..

well, pacific34, I am no less nervous than you...

If it makes you feel better, I'm in the same boat...

I am so nervous about this whole MIT thing.
But I am glad they they finally had a SET date so I don't have guess when on the world will the decisions come out.
Yeah, but of course, it really all depends on this Saturday.
Good luck you guys!

Hmm. I wish today were Saturday. At least my palpitations would end no matter what comes out. I am so nervous. Best wishes to everyone.

Saturday?? THIS Saturday??? REALLY???

uuuuuugh, it hurts... it's like "now or NEVER"!

sry pacific, but i dont think ur new awards will get there in time. but i'm sure u still have lots of good qualifications even w/o that!

i'm very happy that they recieved the new info...they sent me an email mentioning that they will consider my achievements............so happy!!!!!

don't worry jackwang....they will consider your things...

WOW, nice pacific34, like you emailed your achievement or you faxed them?

Right, because international students are read and selected after domestic selection has been completed. Since international reading is probably ongoing or nearly complete, they can add information to pacific34's file. Domestic students, however, have likely already been selected.

pacific34 - Would you please check your cc private message?

yeah, they haven't decide yet for all of the internationals for sure, because two of my friends got like almost 24 hours ago to have an interview! So probably they don't know which one of them to pick, so that means that it's not completely finished yet (on the other side for me it is, because i've got no such email :( )

My employer faxed my recs a few days ago and they accepted it.

jackwang i emailed the letter.....however,in the subject i mentioned that it was URGENT.....so if you need to send similar emails it would be always good to mention URGENT as subject

Hi, pacific34

Well, I didn't write "URGENT" in my email, but I wrote "EXTREMELY IMPORTANT", and they got it as I received the email back.

However, I also faxed something (a music composition), which can't be emailed, and so I cannot verify whether or not it has been processed.
