I'm in my first year at CC and I want to major in Linguistics. So far I have a 3.5ish GPA and I have 20 UC-transferable units from taking classes in HS and my last semester. My classes right now aren't very easy for me at all, and only 10 of my 15 units are going to count in my GPA anyways. I'm thinking of dropping a transferable class and just taking a W, but I know that if I do that, it'll take me another year to transfer. Are there any good things about transferring in 3 years? Do you think if I spend another year at my CC, it'll bring my GPA up?

obviously it will bring your GPA up if you take extra classes thats relevant to your GPA/and or your major and you perform well in them.
