<p>To answer your question, no (especially for top-tier schools). But sometimes they can be helpful for students that need to create a more balanced college list. </p>
<p>Outside of the top 20 schools, look at the mid-50% stats for admitted students. If you are in the top 25%, most likely admitted. Mid 50% it is a match, bottom 25% it is a reach or out of reach. </p>
