Well, basically I found out that I would end up with a 3.3 this semester (sophomore). There's no chance of my finals raising my grades up and im stuck with this GPA. It's kinda bad (very bad) for the college I'm lookin forward to ㅡㅜ... (UC Berkley). Is this the end? lol... I got 3.8 in my freshmen year but .. i never expected a 3.3 this year.. honestly. I'll probably not believe this until I get my report card. I know this is a silly question... but what should I do? lol...

If I recall, few UC schools, Berkeley most likely one of them, only look at sophomore and junior grades. If so, let's look at the facts:

You have only completed 1/4 of the grades the admission will look over. You have 3 semesters left: one in sophomore and two in junior. You're not even half way done in your effort to attend Berkeley. Giving up now would be senseless.

You now have a standard that you must excel, and a relatively low one at that, and that's not a bad thing. If you keep improving your grades each semester, your transcript will display this trend of improvement in which will likely benefit your application. There's nothing like seeing a transcript that shows a student improving throughout the semesters and finishing with a very high GPA.

And FFS do not worry about colleges at this moment. The influence of college should only apply to juniors and seniors since it drains the childhood spirit out of them and morphs into fear and anxiousness, and once that influence is gone, its absent is replaced by senioraithis.

The message above by far is one of the most poorly written replies I have typed so far...

You still have time to recover from this. Figure out what the problem was last semester and fix it. Do really well this semester and it will help bring up your average for the year. You still have junior and senior year to show them what a good candidate you are.
Good Luck!

I got a 3.5 both fresh and soph year (all honors, with 1 AP soph year) and then junior year my overall dropped to a 3.2...i thought life was over too. But, I worked my butt off senior year first semester, pulled a a 4.2, and now im at a top 20 engineering school.
Just concentrate on how you can do better: get tutored, ask for help in certain classes, get involved in an outside activity if you need a life outside school, or even just take a step back and realize what you need to do to make you happy in life. I wasnt happy at all junior year, and did badly, but senior year i was amazingly content and i did super well.

dont sweat it, theres always essays, recs, and 3 semesters left =)

thanks guys~!!

shoebox 10, I'm glad it worked out for you but please be aware that the OP is talking about the UCS. Recs and essays count for very little. Senior grades are not counted in admissions review. Only the sophomore and junior grades are counted.
OP, please do a search for UC formula and understand the exact way the GPA is calculated. Additionally, please make sure you take the A-G required classes.
Don't forget too that the UCs are not the only game in town, as shoebox10 points out, the rules for LACs are completely different. They actually look at ECs, recs, etc.
