Asians at Vanderbilt

<p>Hey guys. I know this subject has been brought up before, but I'm somewhat concerned about the social atmosphere for Asians at Vanderbilt. I've heard there arent many minorities there. I'm an Asian-Indian, btw; are there many Indians at Vanderbilt? Does anyone know the ethnicity distribution of the student body?<br>

<p>Oh, and I would certainly like more Asians here :(. It's quite a change after my high school (about 45% Asian). There are a lot of Asian activities and clubs (that are not necessarily Asian only, of course) and a lot of camaraderie, so you definitely wouldn't be alone.</p>

<p>45%!? Wow, that's a lot of Asian folk. Was the figure just East Asians, or East Asian, South Asian, and West Asians together? </p>

<p>I know what you mean...my highschool is like 50% asian...vandy will definitely be a change of scene for me.</p>

<p>I'm asian. I'm from a ~30% asian hs too but I think a smaller group of close, diverse friends might be better than a large crowd of asians.</p>

<p>Yeah, that is a good thing...the only reason I was having second thoughts about Vandy was b.c of the apparent lack of diversity...but now I do not think that it will really be that big of a deal.</p>

one is a cheerleader. all 3 are preps.</p>
