Associate Degree for Transfer

Hey everybody! I am currently in the process of completing an A.S.-T in Business at Citrus College and I understand that one of the lower divisions requirements for admission to CSU’s that I intend to apply to such as Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona, CSULB, SDSU, is Math 162 Intro to Math Analysis. However, since I am working on this associate degree for transfer, with Statistics already completed, is it necessary for me to complete this other particular math course prior to transferring? Or may I complete this course at the University assuming I am admitted?

Also, yes I have spoken to a few counselors here at my school about this and they have all suggested that I take it to make me more competitive, but I always understood that if I was completing this particular degree, I wouldn’t need any other course based on the agreement outlined. I mean, I understand it would probably make me competitive, but would I really be rejected for one class, even though I would have this associate degree for transfer verified and completed?

Because according to this agreement, I could take either Math 162 or Stats (which I passed) and two other courses provided or both math and stats and another course.

As reference, here is the link to the A.D.T agreement below:

Can anybody please help me out here… Anybody here transferred to a CSU with an ADT? Have any insights you can share with me?

I’m confused as to whether or not I really need this class if I’m completing this degree with Stats already passed. I keep getting conflicting information

Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

You need to ask each of your target universities about this. Don’t be surprised if each of them has a different set of requirements.
