Attn: ScholarShare users & People who got $1,000 STAR scholarship

Under Section 2 on the Withdrawal form, what should we fill out for the following fields?

Check should be made payable to
Mail Check to
Attention: (Department, Office, or Person)
Address:

I tried calling the Financial Aid and main offices but the lines were always busy. I've had plenty of experiences with mediocre customer service and long waiting times (over 30 minutes once!), so I'm hoping that at least one other person here would know.

why don't you call them as soon as they open
that's what I do to avoid waiting line

I sent mine in already...with interest it came out to around $1,070 :)

Anyway, here's the basic info for sending scholarship checks:

How do I report outside scholarships and where do I have the donor send the check?
Scholarships you receive from outside Berkeley should be reported on Bear Facts in the "Add Other Resources" section. When donors wish to send scholarship checks directly to the University, please use the following address: ** UC Berkeley, Financial Aid Office, 250 Sproul Hall #1960, Berkeley, CA 94720-1960 **. The check should include the student's name, SID, and if possible, a letter of instructions from the donor. If it is possible, please have the donor write the check payable to: "UC Regents."

I'm confused, as there appears to be no such section....

go into Bearfacts, then go to your Offer Letter, then you can "Add other Resources"

Financial aid has been driving me insane...I think the Governor's thing is the one scholarship that I have actually figured out the process :)

Found it. Thanks again! :)

Good luck in the upcoming term.
