Auburn University Early Action for Fall 2022 Admission

For applicants who submitted their applications by the December 1 deadline, has anyone heard anything more specific other than “mid-January” regarding admissions decisions?

The mid-October decisions were released October 13th and November decisions came out November 12th, if that helps sort of predict the January decision date, which will possibly be before the 15th???

YES! VIT tour is awesome! My daughter did one in September. It really increased my daughter’s interest in Auburn. The more specifics about students interest you can provide them with, the more personalized the tour will be! It is for Presidential Scholarship eligible kids with ACT score above 33.

So now she got an invitation to Talons day. Something about Talented Academic Leaders. What is the difference between the VIT tour and Talons day?

It seems like VIT is a little more “prestigious”, with only those offered the top merit scholarship invited. Talons Day invitations extended to applicants who are “scholarship eligible” according to the website. I assume that means all levels of merit :woman_shrugging:t3:

Same here for us. Any good ideas on strategy? Sending first-semester senior year grades. Wondering how things will go.

Yes…D22 sent in her application on 10/2, but according to our regional representative, Auburn did not receive her transcripts until 10/29…??? Her application was then placed into “December review”.

Congrats! Did she get any merit scholarship offers with the acceptance, or does that usually come at a later date?

She just saw the acceptance and has not yet done a “deeper dive” into her admission portal. Based on Auburn’s website, she is eligible for $5500 per year.

CONGRATULATIONS. What were scores and grades please.

My DD portal says “Status Update” but there is nothing there. Is this on everyone’s portal? Where do you look for update and is there some sort of message with instructions to retrieve it? Thanks so much. And congratulations to all that have been admitted!

The Status Update will remain blank until a decision is made by Admissions, then you will see a button that says “View Update” and it will take you to the decision letter.
Good luck!

Anyone have any insight on if Auburn intends to change its yield expectations? It looks like last year there were approximately 18,000 apps and had a huge acceptance rate of 85% and a 35% yield to get to around 5000 new students. If they have already accepted 9400 students of 40,000 applicants and expect the same yield, that would leave 1700 spots for new students. With 30,000 more applications to review, if they stick with that yield expectation only about 5000 students of the 30k would be accepted. Scary. Hoping admissions uses a much lower yield expectation, like 20%. That would allow for half of the remaining 30,000 to gain acceptance.
