Does anyone have any idea how many students have been accepted up to this point and how many more they plan to accept from the RD and deferrals?

Call Auburn admissions and see if they can provide that information. I doubt anyone here will know. Let us know what you find out!

Was the honors college decision also updated on your portal? We are waiting for honors college decision but haven’t seen anything. Was this Auburn email or student’s regular email? Thanks so much!

Auburn email and also on portal. :hugs:

The honors portal, that is

Can anyone tell me when the last round of admissions letters will go out? And after that, when might we hear about overall numbers for Fall 2022? Thanks!

Any ideas of when we should start hearing something?

Most Auburn decisions are released just before or on the 15th of the month.

This year’s decisions were released:
October 13th
November 12th
January 14th

My son’s good friend was deferred to Auburn and is now leaning towards Arkansas. We’re from Texas. What are your back-ups?

Also, it’s really crazy that apps increased over 100% in two years. So, it’s certainly not football success that drives applications. And I doubt it’s hoops or else Baylor’s apps would be through the roof. Houston too.

My daughter was deferred from Auburn
she was pretty sad about it. We were hoping to hear tonight as they said “Early March” this year
but I suppose that could go into next Friday, too! If Auburn is a no go, she is IN at Virginia Tech and will likely go there, really likes what she has seen and heard. Good luck to all!

Auburn’s apps likely went up partly because they JUST joined Common App two years ago so their application is more accessible now. Another thought, maybe students preferred how they responded to the pandemic and how they handled COVID. Lots of factors could have increased apps. They also reported more apps this year across Alabama and amongst diverse groups, so Auburn probably increased their outreach. Good for them!

There you go – Common App. Test optional and maybe no extra essays. Well, I read that there is an essay but it’s not read. Haha. A guy from church last year said he was admitted to UGA but deferred or turned down at Auburn. Definitely getting to be one of the tougher admits in the SEC and it’s well respected.

Auburn also gives pretty good merit, I think people have caught onto that.

@Carter6 My oldest is at Virginia Tech. He - and we - love it! My youngest will be going to Auburn in the fall. A couple of months ago, I asked the VT parent group on FB about Auburn as a comparison to VT. It got glowing reviews. Both schools seem to have a family feel and super friendly, helpful people. I don’t think one can go wrong with either! Best of luck to your daughter!

I love this!! Thank you for sharing! We have heard great things about VT and got to tour last weekend. Funny you say that as a comparison with Auburn, because that is precisely the vibe we got while there. Because we are geographically closer to Auburn, we hear more of it of course, making it seem more familiar to my daughter. However, she is super excited about VT, and it’s given her breathing room. She absolutely fell in love with the campus there and knows she will be somewhere great. Best wishes to your Hokie and newly minted War Eagle!
