DD applied a few weeks ago for UCF. How quickly do they let you know if you have been accepted?

It depends on the strength of your stats:) If you have really good test scores, and a very solid GPA, odds are you’ll probably find out in about 3-4 weeks. If the stats are about average, or boarderline of the middle 50%, you can expect it to take longer. I had very, very low stats, so it took a little over 2 months for me to find out. Just found out yesterday:)

@Write Congrats! After all this waiting you finally found out! Im happy for ya :)

Thank you, johnny! It means a lot. I can’t tell you how excited I am to tell all my friends at school tomorrow. Senior year has now begun:)

I know I feel so relieved to know I got accepted. I’m actually putting down my deposit tonight when my parents get home. Now I can focus and enjoy my senior year without worrying about college. I now know where I’m going and UCF was my first choice.

Kyle-Do you know where we’re staying for summer? I think it might be hercules/nike:) Also, when you put down your deposit, do you also choose your dorm for fall, or not yet? A bit confused. This is a first for me, because my older sister goes to a community college, so my parents have never been through this.

I am a first generation going to college as well. So it’s a learning curve for my parents as well. I believe for summer you have a choice between Nike/Hercules and the Towers. And I will get back to you on housing later on tonight when I pay the deposit. I’m new to this as well. Lol

I was considering the towers…but I wish to save a bit more money my first year. For fall, I’m going for Libra. Being from out of state, I want to meet as many people as possible, boys/and curls, and would prefer to meet freshmen, ideally. I feel as if towers is more for underclassmen. Plus, I want to share a room with someone. I feel like, even if it ends up bad, it’s the college experiance. I will look at towers for my second year:)

Wow, lots of mistakes in that post! Sorry, I’m on my phone! I ment to say boys/and girls.

Oh, and that I believe the towers is full of more UPPERclassmen.

For towers if you are a freshman you are going to share a too with a freshman and UCF is the 2nd largest university in the US do I dot think we will have much problem meeting people.

Oh, I know you’d be sharing with freshmen:) I just mean to say that I want to be surrounded by people in the same position, and I want to be right in the center of campus, verses being towards then end, away from classes. Libra is just a better choice for me, and my personality, and what I want out of UCF:)

I can respect that. I either want towers or Nike/Hercules.

I don’t think the Towers is an option for summer. The Towers make you sign 11 month leases which I assume start in the fall. That means that the kids who were in the towers from last fall still have their leases through this summer. I could be wrong though.

I believe it says that towers is fr summer

@problem- I got in for summer and just payed the 200 deposit. That carries on for fall as well right?

I know it says summer on the general website (if that’s what you’re looking at) but that’s because it only has an 11 month lease option which would obviously carry on through summer. I don’t know if all the leases reset in fall or if some reset in summer and some reset in fall. If it’s the former you probably have to wait at least until fall.

The $200 deposit is a one time fee you pay. As far as I know, it goes straight into your myUCF account and will be applied to your first semester’s tuition. So no, you will not have to pay another deposit for fall.

Alright well if your right about the towers I will be aiming for them for the fall term.

Don’t take my word for it, that’s probably something you wanna email some peeps about lol

Lol yeah I probably will. No doubt

Towers start in Fall and go into the following summer (the housing people told me that when i visited a few weeks back.) So for us (c/o 2016) it would start Fall 2012 and continue through Summer 2013
