Knights!

Okay..I got accepted into Fall 2012 and have a few q's:

Dorm preference(s)....Nike/hercules best? Libra L shaped?

What is orientation like??

If I don't fall in love w/ UCF and do decide to try and transfer to UF, will it be difficult with good grades? CC competition?

Thank you for any responses!

Libra or Nike/Hercules are both good… It really depends on where you want to be nearby. Nike and Hercules are near the pool, tennis courts, gym etc. and Libra is near the classrooms, MarketPlace etc. Nike and Hercules are also more recently built. Look at the dorm tours online to get a good feel for the inside of the rooms and setup.

You have a general meeting with the entire group at the orientation. Then, you get split into your orientation groups and are led by a member of the O-team. The O-teamer gives a tour of the university, provides information and tries to help you get to know your other classmates in the group. Then, you split into groups by college to get information on your major. Then you go to specific rooms to schedule plan. The next day you pick your schedule. Overall, long and boring.

UF has a fairly low acceptance rate on transfers. You also have to keep in mind that UF is required to let CC transfer in who have their AA and meet the requirements set forth by the individuals colleges at UF. If you are a good student, I wouldn’t let that discourage you. Just don’t slack off and ruin your GPA your first year (which a LOT of students do.)

When exactly did you get accepted? Sorry this is off-topic but I’m still waiting for a decision myself.

Sorry for such a delay…but thank you for all your insight! Much appreciated!

Hey…I applied on 2/20, and was accepted 3/19! Have you heard anything? (Been over a month)
