I had an awesome interview......is that any kind of advantage in the admissions process?

Not really because Interviews are nonevalutive. The interview will not directly affect your admissions decision.

Will it show serious interest b/c i requested one?

It will definitely show you have interest, it just won't be a deciding factor.

From what I understand, your interviewer will do a write-up about your interview and send it to Admissions, where it will be read by whoever is reading your application. So I think having a good interview could help the admissions counselors get a better feel of who you are, but it won't tip the decision one way or another.

nah doesn't mean nething really

Tanman is correct -- I couldn't have written a better answer. Interviews are non-evaluative but that doesn't mean they don't matter. Just in the end, an interview will not sway the decision.
